My name is Fiona, and I am a recruitment and business development consultant at Fed Finance, specializing in finance professional recruitment in Montreal's South Shore. We handle both temporary and permanent placements in accounting, finance, and payroll. We are looking for a Management Accountant for a company in the food sector located in Longueuil (Hybrid work model).

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Director of Finance and Administration.
  • Carry out mandates and act as a consultant in accounting.
  • Collaborate on various accounting and financial files.
  • Perform accounting operations and supervise daily accounting activities for the federation's funds.
  • Conduct financial controls and analyses.
  • Prepare budget forecasts and monthly financial statements, explaining variances.
  • Manage audit files and ensure follow-up.
  • Oversee financial follow-up of subsidy files, monitor cash flow, and analyze financial data.
  • Serve as a resource in the use of accounting software.
  • Participate in invoicing processes and monitor contribution collections.
  • Coordinate accounting team work, manage projects, and produce reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • At least six (6) years of experience in a similar role.
  • CPA designation is an asset.
  • Experience in an accounting firm is an asset.
  • Knowledge of fund and project accounting in decentralized budgets.
  • Proficiency in Sage 300 (asset) and Excel.
  • Strong analytical, synthesis, and communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Rigor, attention to detail, and efficiency under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to exercise professional judgment.
  • Functional spoken and written English.
  • Autonomy and excellent prioritization skills to manage multiple files.
