Responsible for providing IT users with end user client equipment and support, determining user needs and incorporating them into the design and overall plan for the region. The range of accountabilities minimally covers hardware and software planning, vendor selection, acquisition, Tier 2 problem resolution, setup, integration, testing, and installation.
- Organizes and coordinates the activities associated with installation, deployment, and upgrade of software, hardware, and network facilities related to the desktop environment.
- Manages activities and personnel involved in providing technical services by identifying, prioritizing, and resolving reported problems with site operations, servers, storage / backup, and network / telecom systems.
- Ensures reliability and availability of complex infrastructure platforms and services to meet business goals, disaster recovery (DR), and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Oversees the regional IT lifecycle management.
- Assists in developing solutions aligned with business requirements and provides strategic management and objectives for the region.
- Acts as the regional IT liaison to the business unit matrix reporting structure—working with supported organizations to establish performance metrics, monitor, analyze, and share results.
- Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure efficient infrastructure operation within the enterprise.
- Provides technology direction and assists in preparing IT strategies, roadmaps, standards, policies, methodologies, and best practices.
- Domestic and overseas travel may be required (~10%).
