The Production Management team is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and stability of applications and infrastructure that provide critical IT services to multiple businesses and product lines at Client. This role offers a dynamic mix of technical and business challenges, allowing the individual to develop an in-depth understanding of Client's technologies and businesses. While direct experience with these systems and business lines is not essential, the role requires the development of these skills over time. The team operates on a global, follow-the-sun basis, including weekend coverage on rotation.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and respond to user-reported issues and infrastructure alerts promptly, ensuring issues are tracked through to resolution.
  • Ensure efficient incident management, including accurate communication to impacted groups and timely issue resolution.
  • Facilitate root cause investigations and manage the implementation of corrective and preventative measures.
  • Manage coverage during North America, Asia, and Europe market hours, including weekend pre-open ready-for-business checks.
  • Proactively identify and respond promptly to failures, ensuring minimal service disruption.
  • Partner with development teams to drive stability, operational excellence, and a culture of efficiency.
  • Ensure team knowledge is current and forward-looking, staying up-to-date on the latest technologies and methodologies.
  • Respond to regulatory and compliance issues with urgency and professionalism.
  • Liaise with external technology vendors and exchanges to coordinate changes and resolve connectivity and market data issues.
  • Review, execute, and verify production changes in strict accordance with defined procedures.
  • Take an active role in planned technology events (e.g., business continuity tests), ensuring that recovery procedures are accurate and complete.
  • Leverage available tools and resources to simplify, automate, or eliminate inefficiencies within the team and processes.

Required Qualifications :

  • Strategic mindset with a specific focus on tooling, automation, and efficiency.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a methodical approach to problem resolution.
  • Proficiency with Linux systems and databases.
  • Strong scripting skills, such as Perl, Python, or UNIX shell.
  • Experience with network diagnostic skills, including real-time messaging technologies (e.g., multicast, TCP / IP, UDP, SNMP).
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience working in high-pressure environments where quick decision-making is essential.
  • Familiarity with market data systems and understanding of financial services is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructures or virtualization technologies.
  • Certifications (if any) :

    Certifications in Linux or networking technologies are a plus.

    Any relevant ITIL or incident management certifications would be beneficial.
