Job Description

Reporting to the Manager of Content Operations, the Team Lead supports the daily e-commerce English team. They are responsible to ensure all production needs are met across product categories and Studio locations. The ideal candidate is passionate about operational excellence, has a deep understanding of e-commerce writing and is energized by leading a team of creatives to do their best work. This role requires a highly collaborative style and the ability to influence and motivate others to drive performance results.

Production - 60%

Lead and mentor an in-house team of Copywriters and Sub-Editors in the day-to-day delivery of product descriptions that meet production needs, while adhering to strict quality standards

Oversee scheduling and logistics for bookings based on knowledge of roster capability and production needs

Collaborate with the Planning and Producing department to vet capacity and resource plans against the production forecast. Identify potential capacity and capability risks and recommend contingency plans

Establish SKU assignment on a daily basis, aligning with Studio priorities

Report on team's overall performance and provide actionable solutions to improve the flow of operations and team productivity

Ensure team adheres to current processes, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, and propose and create processes and tools to support production operations

Support the integration and operationalization of new tools

Own expense tracking and documentation, including socials, hardware, and supplies.

Review and approve team expense reports to help ensure compliance with Studio and Financial Planning & Analysis policies

Continuous Improvement - 20%

Contribute to the implementation of Studio and business initiatives by applying operational best practices, and engage in cross-departmental collaboration with a continuous improvement approach

Initiate and develop actionable execution plans to optimize daily operations, productivity and communication

Proactively identify opportunities to enhance tools, standardize, and optimize procedures related to product copy services

People Leadership & Team Development - 20%

Support the Manager’s recruitment strategy by screening, interviewing, and onboarding new full time and freelance Copywriters and Sub-Editors

Support the Manager with the onboarding of new team members

Act as the touchpoint between workers and Business Managers, by coordinating with both parties to ensure that employee needs are met and company goals are achieved

Support in the performance management process for all team members by conducting performance reviews and establish development plans

Provide mentorship catalyzing growth through coaching and team building

Ensure team mobilization by regularly gauging team spirit and implementing appropriate means to create a work environment that fosters healthy communication, collaboration, and productivity

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

College or Bachelor’s diploma in fashion management or a relevant field

A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a fast-paced administrative capacity or related work field, in an environment with an emphasis on scheduling / booking, talent management, and administration work for executive / upper level management

1-2 years previous experience in a leadership or management role

Proven ability to create innovative solutions to solve complex business requirements, and streamline / automate business processes

Proficient in Excel, Lucidchart and Google Suite

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English with collaborative, team-oriented nature

Experience with drafting, documenting, and implementing new procedures

Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, organizational skills

Scrum methodology awareness and previous work in an agile environment is an asset

A sense of priority and awareness for high impact meetings, and urgent business needs, and ensures follow-up

Open to working evenings and weekends, as required

Knowledge of garment construction and e-commerce content production is an asset
