Your role
As part of our artificial intelligence (AI) innovation strategy, we are seeking a talented, passionate Natural Language Processing (NLP) Developer. You will be joining our AI innovation cell and playing a key role in designing and developing innovative solutions that will transform our products and services.
Your key responsibilities :
- Design and develop NLP models and algorithms for extracting, analyzing and structuring textual data.
- Compare and contrast models with the appropriate data and metrics to identify the most effective models for a given problem.
- Work with the data science, engineering and product teams to incorporate NLP solutions into apps.
- Pre-process and clean textual data sets to make them usable.
- Optimize and enhance the performance of NLP models in production.
- Research the latest advances in NLP and suggest continuous improvements.
- Document processes, models and results for stakeholders.
- Act as a consultant to product managers looking to incorporate predictive components into their products.
- Provide practical technical expertise, advice and support to the Business Intelligence team for their advanced modelling needs.
- Perform data exploration to identify what variables (features) to use in our various models.
- Identify gaps in data collection and work with the relevant teams to gather that information.
- Program the extraction, standardization and transformation of our reliable data sources, and confirm the integrity of those sources.
- Develop and evolve production models following an iterative approach.
- Help evolve our current prediction architecture based partially on Microsoft Azure ML and Databricks.
- Synthesize and explain technological innovations so they are understandable to non-experts and accessible across the Corporation.
- Be comfortable working with external partners such as universities.
