Profile : Our client, a premier provider of high-end building materials, is seeking a Showroom Sales Specialist with a background in the design industry. Specializing in both residential and commercial projects, they cater to a sophisticated and discerning customer base. The ideal candidate will have established connections and proven experience selling to architects, designers, and contractors. Fluency in both french and english is essential for effectively engaging with a diverse B2B and B2C clientele.

Salary : Base $50,000-$55,000

Commissions / Bonus : $10 000 - $20 000 the first year.

Functions :

Act as the primary contact for customers visiting the showroom or calling in.

Address customer questions, assess their needs, and guide them to the appropriate resources.

Offer precise product details and assist with design guidance and solutions.

Cultivate relationships with current clients while expanding the customer base.

Enter and update client information in the necessary software systems.

Obtain purchase orders and deposits in a timely manner.

Keep the showroom tidy, well-organized, and inviting.

Track and maintain detailed records of customer requests and materials.

Provide support to Reception by answering incoming calls.

Complete additional tasks as required.

Requirements :

Working hours are from 8 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM, with occasional Saturdays.

Successful completion of a Criminal Background Check.

Familiarity with or experience in interior design.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and handle multiple responsibilities.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

High standard of personal integrity.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Able to work independently with minimal supervision and take initiative.

Development vs Maintenance : 20% vs 80%

Languages : French and English (speaking, reading, and writing).

Education : College degree or equivalent experience

Training : In-house training

Years of experience : Minimum of 2 years' experience in sales, customer service, or a similar role.

Other requirements :

Track record of exceeding sales targets.

Strong enthusiasm and passion for the role.

Maintains a professional and composed attitude, even in high-pressure situations.

Transferable contacts :

Previous experience with natural products, including stone, tile, porcelain, wood, and Laminam, is an asset.

Previous relationships with designers, architects, and contractors are an asset.
