Description du poste

Our client is on the lookout for a talented and technically skilled Fashion Designer with a passion for children's apparel. This role is perfect for someone who understands the balance between creativity, comfort, and functionality — and knows how to design for playful, active little ones while meeting high standards of fit and quality.

As part of our design team, you’ll take ownership of styles from initial concept through to production-ready garments, ensuring each piece is thoughtfully designed, technically sound, and kid-approved.

Responsibilities :

  • Design and develop children's wear collections from concept through to final product — with a strong focus on fit, function, and safety appropriate for babies, toddlers, and kids.
  • Create detailed technical drawings, patterns, and specifications that consider the unique needs of children's apparel — including movement, durability, and comfort.
  • Develop and manage complete tech packs — including technical sketches, fabric and trim selections, construction details, BOMs, and measurement specifications following established grading rules (with the ability to adjust grading when necessary).
  • Oversee sample development and prototype creation, collaborating closely with overseas vendors to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to brand fit standards.
  • Lead fit sessions on children’s samples, evaluating fit, proportion, and overall garment construction, and providing actionable feedback to the production team.
  • Manage multiple seasonal projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of detail and organization.

Requirements :

  • Experience working specifically in children’s apparel design an asset.
  • Proficient in pattern-making softwares such as Gerber or PAD.
  • Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop, for design sketching and tech pack creation.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for BOMs, spec sheets, and data management.
  • A deep understanding of children’s sizing, grading, and the importance of comfort, movement, and safety in kidswear design.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and overseas suppliers.
  • A proactive mindset and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
