Position SummaryThe Marketing and Events Assistant will work closely with the Marketing Department and will gain hands-on experience across various marketing functions, including social media management and coordination of special events.

This internship opportunity offers a dynamic environment to immerse oneself in the world of marketing, with a focus on developing practical skills and making meaningful contributions to our organization's outreach efforts.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDESupport the marketing team with activities related to communications, advertising, marketing campaigns, and events, including the annual fundraiser 'Tune into YES'.

Assist in event planning and logistics, including proactively reaching out to potential donors of silent auction items for the annual fundraiser.

Provide marketing and administrative support including taking meeting minutes; updating spreadsheets; creating editorial calendars.

Collaborate with team members to brainstorm creative ideas and initiatives to enhance our marketing efforts.Provide support in the YES Centre to clients accessing job search, entrepreneurship and artist support services by advising them of the services available and the community and directing them to the appropriate services.

Knowledge, Skills and QualificationsCanadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act S.

C. 2001, c. 27Legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulationsExcellent English writing and communication skills are required.
