We are seeking a Senior Risk Management Advisor who will primarily focus on the Off-Corridor Fleet Refurbishment and Replacement Program.

Within the context of this Program, which is anticipated to be completed by 2034, the Senior Advisor will indirectly report to the Director of the Off-Corridor Fleet Replacement Program Management Office.

Collaborating with various stakeholders and adhering to established procedures, the Senior Risk Management Advisor will be responsible for overseeing the risk management process for the Program comprehensively.

The Senior Advisor will identify and evaluate risks associated with activities and projects, while ensuring effective communication throughout the Program.

As an expert, they will actively manage major and complex risks by prioritizing across multiple projects. Additionally, they will be responsible for managing and monitoring the online risk registry data, encouraging stakeholders to fulfill their accountability responsibilities.

Responsibilities :

  • Participating in Program governance meetings to track project progress, exerting influence, and providing guidance to other members in problem-solving and decision-making
  • Preparing and analyzing various reports and dashboards for the Program management team, the Program's executive steering committee, and the Board of Directors
  • Developing, structuring, and conducting risk workshops according to the governance schedule
  • Performing quantitative analyses of costs and schedule-related risks to identify and maintain a safety margin for the Program
  • Analyzing industry risk trends to enhance risk mitigation measures
  • Contributing actively to maintaining a healthy risk management culture within the Program
  • Maintaining and updating risk management training materials, conducting risk management training sessions as needed
  • Strengthening collaboration in risk management with key suppliers and contractors, and organizing joint working sessions regularly
  • Providing technical assistance and guidance to users of the risk management platform (ARM), and facilitating the integration of new users. Requirements :
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, sciences, risk management, business administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of ten years of relevant experience in risk management, particularly in major project settings
  • Thorough understanding of applicable governance and risk management standards, and excellent grasp of risk management principles, tools, and methods
  • Familiarity with risk management methods related to Project Management Institute projects
  • Project management experience in operations or construction
  • Knowledge of ISO 31000 standard
  • Familiarity with probabilistic cost analysis methods and schedule-related risks (Monte Carlo method)
  • Excellent ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing (English and French)
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with Active Risk Manager software
  • Experience in contractual risk management (an asset)
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
