Our public sector client is seeking a Software (VB/VB.NET/SQL) Developer (Reliability Clearance, 10+ years of experience) to support ongoing maintenance and application development using VB, VB.NET, and SQL
Join a public sector initiative supporting a specialized data integration and reporting system with multiple existing application components. This role focuses on ongoing maintenance and application development across a central database and web UI, a remote standalone data collection application, and an external client-facing standalone application. The position includes analysis, programming, testing, and documentation activities supporting systems of significant size and complexity.

Must Haves
- Reliability Clearance
- 10+ years as a Software Developer
- 10+ years with working government experience (Federal, Provincial, Municipal and/or Crown)
- Agile experience
- Experience with VB, VB.NET, and SQL
Nice to Have
- Experience working within an Azure DevOps environment
- JavaScript experience
Responsibilities
- Develop diagrammatic plans for business, scientific, and technical computer system solutions
- Analyze system requirements related to data transfer, processing, sorting, and output formats
- Design detailed programs, flow charts, and processing diagrams
- Translate flow charts into coded machine instructions
- Verify program accuracy and completeness through sample data and system acceptance testing
- Test instructions and assemble application documentation for future modification and reference
- Support maintenance and application development for existing system components
