In collaboration with the General Manager and the Marketing team, the Event Coordinator participates in the planning and execution of marketing initiatives across North America, including corporate events, trade shows, customer activities, promotions, and new product launches.
The Event Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination, execution, and follow-up of events, while also supporting the creation of marketing and communication materials related to these initiatives.

- Identify and evaluate venues and locations for corporate events, trade shows, customer activities, and other marketing initiatives across North America.
- Coordinate events from initial concept through planning, execution, conclusion, and post-event review.
- Request, evaluate, and coordinate quotations from venues, suppliers, contractors, and other event partners.
- Manage and maintain the event budget, including annual planning and forecasting, tracking planned and actual expenses, monitoring spending against the approved budget, and providing regular updates to the Marketing team and management.
- Work with the Marketing team to develop original event concepts and experiences aligned with the company's brands and objectives.
- Coordinate and participate in corporate events, trade shows, customer visits, product launches, and other marketing activities.
- Support event-related social media communications, including pre-event promotion, event-day and post-event coverage; capture photos and short-form video content; and create or edit social media visuals and basic videos using Canva or other appropriate software.
- Coordinate room layouts, displays, signage, furniture, audiovisual equipment, lighting, catering, and other event requirements.
- Coordinate equipment, product, sample, and furniture requests with the appropriate internal departments.
- Work closely with internal teams, sales representatives, agencies, suppliers, and external partners to ensure the successful execution of events.
- Manage customer and participant expectations and clearly communicate event procedures and logistics.
- Conduct post-event follow-ups and reviews to identify opportunities for improvement.
Support marketing et graphique
Approximately 10–15% of the position may be allocated to website-related tasks.
- Prepare and update presentations for events, sales meetings, customer visits, product launches, and other marketing initiatives.
- Use Adobe Photoshop and InDesign to create or adapt marketing materials, including social media posts, event graphics, signage, invitations, and other communication materials.
- Assist with occasional updates to brochures, presentations, and other printed or digital marketing collateral.
- Participate in updating and maintaining the company website, which is managed externally.
- Manage and maintain the inventory of promotional items, including stock levels, storage, organization, and distribution as needed.
- Coordinate with external suppliers and printers when required.
Compétences, expérience et formation
- DEC or university degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a similar position.
- Bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken.
- Strong organizational and project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
- Experience with Canva and/or basic video editing software
- Knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing practices considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with Marketing, Sales, Product, and other internal teams.
- Flexibility to occasionally travel and work outside regular business hours for events.
