Hello, I’m Anthony Chacon, Recruitment Advisor at FED ManuTech, specializing in engineering, technical and manufacturing positions.

I’m currently recruiting a Mechanical Designer for a manufacturing company specializing in custom industrial equipment and automation solutions. This position offers a hands-on engineering environment where you’ll be involved in mechanical design, technical problem-solving and close collaboration with the production floor.

Mission

Your Role:

• Design machines and mechanical modules based on assigned projects, budgets and technical requirements.
• Design and improve standard modules within your area of expertise.
• Select appropriate materials and components based on application requirements.
• Perform the necessary calculations related to loads, speeds, durability and other technical requirements.
• Create and maintain assembly and manufacturing drawings.
• Follow projects through the manufacturing process.
• Validate drawings and new mechanical concepts directly on the production floor.
• Work with production teams to validate corrections related to design or manufacturing issues.
• Follow engineering quality procedures and standards.

Conditions de travail

• Salary: $60,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
• Permanent, full-time position, 40 hours per week.
• Friday afternoons off year-round, with the workday ending at 1:00 p.m.

Profil recherché

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or a DEC in Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• 3 to 10 years of mechanical design experience, ideally in an industrial or custom manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Inventor and/or AutoCAD.
• Practical understanding of mechanical systems, including drive systems, mechanisms, conveyors, steel structures, process piping, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and fluid applications.
• Strong French communication skills and functional English for technical communications.
• Practical mindset, autonomy and strong collaboration skills.
