Our financial services client is seeking a Senior Information Security Consultant (4–7 years) to provide advisory and delivery support across business units using information security frameworks and controls
Duration: Until 12 Dec (possibility of extension)
Location: Remote (EST Hours)
Join a remote team delivering high-impact information security initiatives within a dynamic banking environment. This role drives consulting services aligning security strategies with business goals, managing ticket-based workloads, and supporting multi-stream project delivery. The position offers visibility across stakeholders and an opportunity to influence enterprise-wide security programs within a collaborative environment.
Must Haves
- 4–7 years of relevant experience in information security or related field
- Strong understanding of information security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO /, PCI DSS)
- Experience with information security concepts, methodologies, and controls
- Knowledge of project delivery and business analysis practices
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and handle non-routine situations
- Post-secondary degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
Nice to Have
- Industry certifications (e.g., (ISC)², ISACA, SANS)
- Experience with ServiceNow (nice to have)
- Familiarity with vendor management and third-party security solutions
- Exposure to financial services or regulated environments

Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to assigned business units on information security matters
- Provide consulting services aligned with organizational security standards and goals
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, risks, and opportunities
- Support the development and execution of information security strategies
- Analyze data and provide insights, recommendations, and solutions to business challenges
- Manage ticket-based workloads while delivering on project requirements
- Track metrics, milestones, and issues; escalate risks as needed
- Support vendor relationships, including implementation and ongoing maintenance of solutions
- Promote process improvements, security best practices, and emerging technologies
- Assess security impacts of project scope changes, including risks and benefits
- Create and deliver clear, professional presentations to stakeholders
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis
- Ensure adherence to information security policies, frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
