FUNCTION & DUTIES:
Reporting to the Director of Adult Education and Vocational Training, the Coordinator acts as the primary regional support to centre directors, residence managers, student life animators, and social service officers across all adult education centres. The Coordinator establishes conditions that foster the psychosocial, academic, and professional development of adult learners, while building the capacity and skills of frontline staff.

The School Board may, at its discretion, waive any or all of the afore-mentioned qualifications if it finds a suitable candidate who is a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement (JBNQA) and who accepts, as a condition of employment, to follow a training plan determined by the Board.

CLASSIFICATION / SALARY / BENEFITS:
Class 8 as per the working conditions of Kativik Ilisarniliriniq managers from $104,152 to $138,867 annually depending on qualifications and experience.

Main functions include the following:
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and ongoing support to centre directors, residence managers, student life animators, and social service officers across assigned communities.
- Conduct regular meetings and site visits to assess needs, support caseload management, and ensure consistent program delivery.
- Liaise between the Director and frontline teams, and maintain active communication with social services, partner organizations, and community stakeholders.
- Identify training needs and develop or arrange professional development opportunities, tools, and resources for frontline staff.
- Organize and facilitate workshops on behaviour management, crisis intervention, and psychosocial support, integrating Inuit cultural values into programming.
- Support the evaluation of adult learners facing difficulties and the delivery of awareness, prevention, and wellness programs.
- Advise management on emerging student needs and systemic challenges, and contribute to reporting tools and timely evaluation reports.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Five (5) years of relevant experience.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Fluent in two of the Board's three official languages (French, English, Inuktitut).
- Minimum of three (3) years in Northern educational systems, preferably within Kativik Ilisarniliriniq.
- Must be thoroughly familiar with the employability needs of Nunavik.
- Frequent travelling to Nunavik.
