This role sits within Laurentian Bank.

The incumbent will play an active role in the preparation of actual, forecasted, and budgeted financial reports. The Analyst will also serve as a financial business partner in the management of the Group’s strategic initiatives. This team acts as a trusted advisor to senior management and business line executives, responding to their financial analysis and reporting needs.

Responsabilités

  • Maintains and updates the assumptions used in budgeting and forecasting models.
  • Participates in the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts, as well as in the preparation of financial analyses for designated business sectors.
  • Prepares monthly financial reports and contributes to variance analysis, as required.
  • Operates financial analysis models and analyzes the resulting outputs.
  • Contributes to the preparation of financial analyses and other strategic initiatives.
  • Assists in the development of new profitability measurement tools.
  • Supports the maintenance of the accounting structure within the business line profitability system to ensure alignment with organizational needs.
  • Participates in the development and documentation of policies and procedures related to accounting operations and control activities.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is required.

*Professional working proficiency in French and English languages required as position involves frequent written and oral communication on complex matters with internal and external parties in both languages
