CoreFactor is searching for a Bilingual French/English SAP Plant Maintenance Consultant on a contract basis for a client located in Ontario & Quebec.

This role is hybrid and requires the successful incumbent to be in the office four (4) times per week.

The Opportunity:

The IT Consultant SAP Plant Maintenance will focus on Plant Maintenance, Inventory Management (MRO), and Indirect Purchasing for spare parts, services, and supplies. This is a highly plant-facing role that requires strong on-site engagement and extensive end-user training. Fluency in French and English is mandatory, as the role provides direct SAP Plant Maintenance support and training in French-language plants.

The position works in close collaboration with business stakeholders such as the Corporate Asset Reliability Group and Corporate Purchasing teams, as well as Information Solutions teams, to support day-to-day plant maintenance operations and new plant rollouts. A key factor in this role is the ability to build strong relationships with Maintenance Managers, supervisors, and maintenance personnel, and to translate SAP functionality into practical, plant-level processes.

The IT Consultant will work with innovative and standardized solutions using SAP S/4HANA modules such as Plant Maintenance, Materials Management, Document Management System, SAP Multi-Resource Scheduling for planning and scheduling, custom SAP iOS mobile solutions for trades and supervisors, Asset Reliability Analytics based on Microsoft PowerBI, and SAP SRM for indirect purchasing.

You will support deploying SAP to new facilities (VIAU) and work closely with end users in plant environments. This includes hands-on, in-person support, participation in Design, Scenario Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing, and delivering comprehensive training in French and English to Maintenance Managers, supervisors, and maintenance personnel. The role places a strong emphasis on change adoption, knowledge transfer, and end-user readiness.

The IT Consultant, SAP Plant Maintenance role is a full-time position reporting to the Director, Application Services in Information Technology (IT). Enjoy flexible hybrid working arrangements with regular weekly time in the office at the Meadowvale campus located in Mississauga, ON.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

  • Supporting the plant roll-out for the existing S/4HANA Plant Maintenance solution, including SAP Multi-Resource Scheduling, SAP mobile solutions for trades and plant maintenance supervisors, and Asset Reliability analytics based on Microsoft PowerBI
  • Acting as a primary SAP Plant Maintenance contact for plant users, providing day-to-day functional support in French and English
  • Delivering frequent plant-level presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on training sessions (including in French) for new functionalities and business process changes
  • Preparing and leading functional workshops, defining SAP-based solutions, creating functional specifications, performing SAP configuration changes, and writing detailed test scripts
  • Developing, executing, and coordinating test scripts for Scenario Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing
  • Providing extensive end-user training, coaching, and post-go-live support for Maintenance Managers, supervisors, and maintenance personnel, including ticket resolution
  • Developing and maintaining project documentation, configuration documentation, test scripts, standard operating procedures, training materials, and other documentation during and after implementations
  • Participating in facility / site deployments and regular plant visits, with a strong focus on understanding operational realities, user challenges, and providing on-site post-implementation support

Exigences

  • Engineering or similar bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 10 years’ experience with SAP Plant Maintenance and related business processes preferred (Spare parts inventory management), including multiple (2+) end-to-end plant rollout implementations.
  • Bilingual (French and English) – mandatory. Proven experience supporting SAP Plant Maintenance and delivering end-user training in French-language plant environments
  • Strong experience in plant-facing roles, working directly with Maintenance Managers, supervisors, and maintenance personnel
  • Demonstrated ability to design, write, and execute detailed test scripts for SIT and UAT
  • Proven experience delivering hands-on, classroom, and on-the-job training, with excellent facilitation and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with mobile solutions and analytics platforms such as Microsoft PowerBI
  • Experience with Predictive Maintenance is an asset
  • Experience with indirect purchasing solutions such as SAP SRM
  • Experience leading workshops, defining business process flows, gathering and documenting business requirements, and configuring SAP Plant
  • Maintenance and Inventory Management
  • Strong ability to define solutions leveraging standard SAP functionality
  • Experience developing and implementing WRICEFs
  • Experience with master data conversions and Plant Maintenance security (roles and authorizations)

Exigences

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field AND 10+ years technical experience in Microsoft Systems engineering, Cloud Administration, Network engineering, or equivalent experience. Microsoft Industry or product specific Certifications 8+ years of Hands-on experience in Microsoft Windows Servers, Azure, O365, Active Directory/Azure AD, Exchange (On-Prem/O365/Hybrid) and RDS. 8+ years technical experience working with large-scale cloud and Enterprise environments. 8+ Years Hands on experience and deep knowledge of Microsoft PowerShell Verified Certifications: Microsoft and other Technology platforms: VMware, RHEL, Cisco…etc Advanced knowledge managing cloud technologies (such as Azure, AWS and Google) Solid experience with Microsoft Servers and knowledge of Server hardware. Solid knowledge of Networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, Routing, Load Balancing) Solid knowledge of Security fundamentals (eDiscovery, IAM, MFA and firewalls) Experience in container technologies and automation Ability to participate in on-call rotational shifts, during non-standard business hours that may include evening, nighttime, weekends, and/or holidays. Exceptional writing and interpersonal skills, including documenting configuration and support information. Strong customer service focus and attention to detail Desire to take on big challenges and the ability to see the big picture as well as the details.
