Bilingual RHEL Systems Administrator

I am hiring Bilingual Intermediate RHEL Systems Administrator on behalf of a well-established organization in Montreal.
In this position, you will play a key role in the operation, automation, documentation, and continuous improvement of our Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments, and will support critical infrastructure initiatives, including major RHEL upgrades, Ansible automation expansion, monitoring tool integrations, and operational support for cloud and SAP environments hosted on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Key Responsibilities

• System Administration & Operations: Manage, maintain, and optimize Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments to ensure high availability, security, and performance.
• Automation: Drive efficiency by developing and expanding Ansible automation playbooks for provisioning, configuration management, and routine operational tasks.
• Infrastructure Upgrades: Lead and support critical infrastructure initiatives, including RHEL OS upgrades and system patching cycles.
• Monitoring & Integration: Integrate RHEL environments with enterprise monitoring tools to proactively identify issues and maintain system health.
• Cloud & SAP Support: Provide operational support for cloud infrastructure and specialized SAP workloads hosted on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Documentation: Create, maintain, and update clear technical documentation, system architectures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and runbooks.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify bottlenecks, rmend process improvements, and contribute to modernization efforts across the infrastructure team.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 5 years of hands-on experience in Linux systems administration, specifically within enterprise Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
• Automation Skills: Proven experience writing and maintaining Ansible playbooks/roles for configuration management and infrastructure automation.
• Cloud Experience: Strong familiarity with cloud platforms; Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience is considered a major asset.
• Enterprise Workloads: Prior experience supporting enterprise applications, and ideally, familiarity with SAP environments running on Linux.
• Monitoring & Tooling: Experience integrating Linux hosts with standard monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
• Soft Skills: Strong documentation skills, a proactive mindset for continuous improvement, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a hybrid team setting.
