The Site Operations Department is responsible for the overall health of all mechanical and electrical systems, building maintenance, and performance of all data modules in our data centers. The team is staffed 24 x 7 onsite with Critical Facility Technicians (CFTs) and Data Center Operators on each shift. This team is the face of Vantage to our customers and the first line of defense regarding the uptime of our campus as well as the performance of our customer installations. Using a Critical Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to plan and track work needed, the Site Operations department performs all preventative and corrective maintenance. Our culture expects and rewards team performance that engages directly with the customers and the facility infrastructure. This is a team that does most of the actual work versus calling upon vendors. As a result, we provide superior service that is faster and more cost effective.

We are looking for a Data Center Operator, NA for our data center in Montreal (Pointe-Claire) who knows what best-in-class service looks like and can make that a reality. This role is an important member of our facilities team where we manage some of the most efficient and cost-effective data center facilities in the industry.

The successful candidate for this role will work with a team of electrical and mechanical-focused technicians performing maintenance and repair for our data center infrastructure. We take our customer requirements for uptime seriously and keep our facilities maintained to a very high standard to insure uninterrupted service for our customers.

Fonctions

• Superviser les conditions du site en utilisant un logiciel électromécanique spécialisé pour les centres de données, et produire des rapports de fiabilité pour atteindre les objectifs de capacité et garantir un taux de disponibilité de 100 %.
• Faire remonter les alarmes aux professionnels appropriés et s’assurer du suivi des communications avec les parties prenantes.
• Générer des rapports de surveillance quotidiens.
• Fournir un support de niveau 1 pour les demandes clients et internes via un système de billetterie.
• Communiquer l’état de la maintenance et l’avancement des travaux en cours aux parties concernées.
• Assurer la conformité avec le calendrier des opérations quotidiennes.
• Aider à améliorer l’efficacité de nos outils et installations électromécaniques.

Exigences du poste

• Expérience de travail dans un environnement critique, de préférence au sein d’un centre de données.
• Bonne compréhension de l’infrastructure électrique et mécanique propre aux centres de données.
• La familiarité avec les Building Management Systems (BMS) et les Energy Management Systems (EMS) est un atout solide.
• Grande tolérance au stress et résilience dans des environnements rapides.
• Excellentes compétences en communication.
• Bilingue (français/anglais) requis.
• La connaissance de MMF est un avantage.

Bilinguisme

Le bilinguisme (français et anglais) est requis pour ce poste en raison de la nature du rôle, qui implique la communication avec des clients, des interactions avec des homologues dans le même service, et des parties prenantes aux États-Unis.
