Role Overview

The HRSD Technical Architect is responsible for designing, architecting, and leading the implementation of ServiceNow HR Service Delivery (HRSD) solutions. This role ensures scalable, secure, and efficient HR digital transformation by aligning business requirements with platform capabilities and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture Design

  • Lead the end-to-end architecture design of HRSD solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Define scalable and reusable architecture patterns for HR business processes.
  • Evaluate business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and platform strategy.

Implementation Delivery

  • Oversee the design and implementation of:
    • HR Case Management
    • Employee Service Center (ESC)
    • Knowledge Management
    • Lifecycle Events (Onboarding/Offboarding)
    • HR Integrations
  • Provide technical leadership during Agile/Scrum delivery cycles.
  • Ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices and coding standards.

Integration & Data Architecture

  • Architect integrations between ServiceNow and systems such as:
    • Workday
    • SAP SuccessFactors
    • Active Directory
    • Azure AD
    • Payroll systems
    • ATS systems
    • Identity systems
  • Define API, MID Server, and integration strategies.
  • Ensure data security, compliance (GDPR), and governance.

Platform Governance & Performance

  • Establish governance frameworks for HRSD implementations.
  • Optimize platform performance and scalability.
  • Conduct code reviews, design reviews, and architecture validations.
  • Ensure maintainability and technical debt management.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with:
    • HR business stakeholders
    • Product Owners
    • Functional Consultants
    • Enterprise Architects
  • Provide advisory support on HR digital transformation roadmaps.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow HRSD releases and features.
  • Drive adoption of:
    • AI
    • Virtual Agent
    • Employee Center Pro
    • Automation and workflow enhancements
  • Recommend improvements to enhance employee experience.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Strong experience in ServiceNow platform architecture.
  • Deep expertise in the HRSD module.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Flow Designer
    • IntegrationHub
    • Script Includes
    • Business Rules
    • UI Policies
    • REST/SOAP integrations
  • Knowledge of:
    • Service Portal
    • Employee Center
    • Virtual Agent implementation
    • CMDB
    • Data modeling

Architecture Skills

  • Experience designing enterprise-grade solutions.
  • Knowledge of microservices and API-based architecture.
  • Security architecture and access controls.
  • Data privacy frameworks (GDPR and compliance standards).

Certifications (Preferred/Required)

  • ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) – Highly Preferred.
  • ServiceNow HRSD Implementation Specialist.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).

Experience

  • 8-15 years of IT experience.
  • 5+ years in ServiceNow development/architecture.
  • 3+ years specifically in HRSD implementations.
  • Experience leading large-scale ServiceNow HRSD programs and implementations.
