Manager, Public Relations

Description du poste

Drive visibility, influence, and reputation through impactful public relations and communications initiatives across Québec. Collaborate with senior leaders, lead media relations efforts, manage strategic partnerships, and help bring high-profile business initiatives to life.

  • Salaried: $47-52 per hour.
  • Incorporated Business Rate: $55-60 per hour.
  • 6-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
  • Day schedule, hours per week.
  • Hybrid work, with 3 days per week in office.

Responsabilités

  • Develop and implement the public relations strategy for the Québec market in support of business objectives and aligned with the national strategy, in collaboration with the Director and the Manager, Outreach, Office of the President, Québec.
  • Establish and execute a proactive media relations program to increase the volume, quality, and overall reach of media activities in Québec.
  • Execute multiple media strategies and tactics simultaneously while maximizing impact across all communication channels, including social media, in accordance with industry best practices.
  • Write, edit, and oversee the development of content, including press releases, presentations, articles, speeches, social media posts, briefing materials, and Q&A documents.
  • Collaborate with the Canadian communications team to adapt communications to Québec’s cultural and market realities when required.
  • Support senior leaders in public relations activities, including social media initiatives and public speaking engagements.
  • Monitor issues that may affect the organization’s reputation and collaborate on the management of reputation-related matters.
  • Manage the business partnerships portfolio, including prospecting, contract development, relationship management, and commitment tracking.
  • Collaborate with various teams and senior leadership to identify and implement tactics that enhance external visibility in Québec.
  • Deploy communication plans and external communications initiatives related to specific projects as required.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong experience in media relations.
  • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to create engaging content for diverse audiences and communication channels.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to analyze and simplify complex or specialized information.
  • Excellent project management skills involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, prioritize effectively, and address challenges.
  • Solid understanding of communication channels and performance metrics.
  • Bilingual to collaborate with national communications teams, support senior leaders, develop communications content, and manage media and stakeholder relationships across Québec and Canada.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Creativity, attention to detail, resourcefulness, dynamism, and diplomacy.
