Ingénieur(e)/Technicien(ne) en Conception Électrique - Electrical Design Engineer/Technician

For our Brossard, Québec Plant, Quebec, we are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer Reporting to the Electrical Engineering Supervisor, the selected candidate will work closely with the engineering team on various electrical power distribution projects aimed at measuring, controlling, and protecting equipment. This role stands out for its dynamic nature and wide variety of challenges.

Ce que vous allez faire

• Perform technical reviews of projects and ensure compliance with all requirements.
• Design detailed electrical diagrams: single-line diagrams, control schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.
• Carry out detailed engineering according to customer needs, specifications, applicable standards (CSA, UL, ANSI), and internal guidelines.
• Prepare and validate technical documents: material lists, component lists, and bills of materials (BOM).
• Select the electrical components required for the manufacturing of panels and equipment.
• Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines (approval drawings, release to production, etc.).
• Provide manufacturing support: respond to project-related questions during assembly and testing (mechanical/wiring/testing) and ensure design consistency throughout production.

Qualifications

• B.Sc.
  in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Engineer member of the OIQ.(an asset)
• Relevant experience in detailed design of electrical equipment
• Hands-on experience with an electrical CAD software (See Electrical / See XP is an asset)
• Skills in technical project management and prioritization
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems
• Experience in designing distribution cabinets/control panels (an asset)
• Knowledge of applicable standards and codes (ANSI/IEEE, CSA, Hydro-Québec, etc.) is an asset
• Bilingual in French and English (intermediate level required for national and international communication with our partners)
