Tâches

• Lead and manage a team of dispatchers, ensuring smooth daily operations and achievement of performance goals.
• Coach, train, and mentor team members to foster a high-performing and collaborative work environment.
• Oversee transportation planning and dispatching (LTL, containers, vans, and tractor-trailers) to optimize resource utilization.
• Monitor driver performance and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in collaboration with the dedicated team.
• Maintain accurate records in the Transportation Management System (TMS) and ensure operational data accuracy.
• Work closely with drivers, clients, and other departments to quickly resolve operational issues.
• Analyze operations to improve delivery punctuality, reduce delays, and optimize overall efficiency.
• Participate in operational capacity planning according to peak periods, holidays, and company growth.
• Perform other related tasks aimed at ensuring operational efficiency.

Exigences du poste

• Bilingualism (advanced French and English) is mandatory for this position, as the role requires 100% communication with suppliers and employees.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation dispatch.
• Experience managing a team (important asset).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with a Transportation Management System (TMS) (asset).
