Compétences et qualifications requises
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or other relevant technical disciplines from an accredited university
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in R&D environment for board-level electronic design
- Professional experience with Cadence EDA tools for design schematics entry and PCB-level layout supervision
- Familiarity with elaboration of analog/digital/power electronic and embedded microcontrollers
- Familiarity with hi-speed memory interface (DDR3/4, etc.) and STM32 series MCU
- Availability to work on-site (3 days a week) in our Montreal-based R&D site
- Prior work experience in a similar industry
Compétences et qualifications préférées
- Bilingual: English and French
- Demonstrated experience in design of industrial equipment such as instrumentation and controls
- Experience with PCB preliminary placement and Signal integrity
- Good understanding of Agile working practices and Reliability Engineering
Responsabilités quotidiennes
- Collaborate in a cross-functional team including Offer Management, Industrialization, Firmware, circuit-board design, and Mechanical design
- Take ownership of hardware development through specification and selection of electrical and electronic components, simulation/modeling, testing, and validation
- Develop electrical schematics and supervise PCB layout
- Perform integration of subsystems and subassemblies in conjunction with new design, product improvement, field, and problem resolution
- Provide support to test engineers for product verification
- Communicate mechanical requirements
- Provide support for troubleshooting all system-related issues
- Ensure cross-functional collaboration (purchasing, manufacturing, quality assurance, etc.)
- Support the team in knowledge management and continuous improvement activities
- Perform other duties as assigned by the technical Product Design Lead
