We are currently looking for an experienced Business Analyst for a contract opportunity from May to Dec of 2026, with the possibility of renewal.

** Please note that a current Government of Canada Reliability Clearance, or higher, is preferred, eligibility is required.

This position can be done fully remotely from Canada, but will be required to work in East Coast time.

The Payments Business Analyst supports the analysis, design, and delivery of payment-related business processes and systems, bridging business, and technology. Must bring strong domain knowledge in financial payments and enterprise payment platforms (e.g. SAP), ensuring solutions are compliant, scalable, and aligned with government standards.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, and document business and system requirements for payments processes (e.g. disbursements, collections, reconciliations), translating business needs into clear functional and technical specifications
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to design and validate solutions, ensuring alignment with architecture, compliance, and operational needs
• Facilitate workshops, drive stakeholder alignment, and support decision-making across cross-functional teams in a complex government environment
• Support delivery using Agile practices and tools (e.g. Azure DevOps), including backlog refinement, user story definition, and acceptance criteria validation
• Identify risks, dependencies, and process improvement opportunities, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and efficient payment solutions

What you'll need

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within payments, finance, or public sector environments
• Proven experience working on end-to-end payment processes (e.g., disbursements, collections, reconciliations)
