We're looking for a Social Media Specialit to join our team!


The Social Media Specialist supports DAVIDsTEA’s Content & Social Media Director in executing DAVIDsTEA’s social media strategy across the company’s social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest. Developing and implementing assets to increase web traffic, engagement and brand awareness are key aspects of this role. They will have the latitude to go from ideation to creation with the support of a creative, ambitious and fun team to ensure that our social media is aligned with marketing and sales strategies, with an eye for new ways to connect.


Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and implement social media calendar for all DAVIDsTEA platforms.
  • Plan, develop and publish original content (images, video and text) for DAVIDsTEA’s social media channels on a daily basis. Create captivating conversational content with an emphasis on product storytelling and educational content.
  • Create engaging video content and produce UGC-style content for all social platforms.
  • Grow the presence of DAVIDsTEA across social media platforms by expanding social post reach, attracting new followers and consistently engaging current followers.
  • Lead day-to-day outreach on social media properties, monitoring ongoing conversations and responding to consumer inquiries about the DAVIDsTEA brand and our products.
  • Measure and report on the impact of social media outreach on DAVIDsTEA business objectives.
  • Attend retail, brand, industry, and community events to capture high-quality photo, video, and behind-the-scenes content, creating engaging real-time social media posts, stories, and recaps that reflect the company’s voice and support audience growth.
  • Support DAVIDsTEA Field Marketing & Media Relations team with influencer strategy by nurturing relationships with key talent and experts in the social space through contests, unique content opportunities and other social tie-ins.
  • Lead all aspects of the earned media lifecycle, from creative briefs to social asset creation to QA to analysis.
  • Coordinate with paid media team to create assets and boost overall traffic with content integration and synergy.
  • Collaborate with internal marketing team to ensure full campaign integration across all consumer touch points, including social media platforms, for seasonal launches, special promotions, contests and events.
  • Monitor and optimize performance of social media platforms over time via consumer insights: analyze, review and report on the reach and effectiveness of social content, ongoing engagement and growth of audiences, referrals to DAVIDsTEA.com and related social KPIs.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on social media, staying on top of industry trends and advising on best practices for each platform, in accordance with realizing business objectives.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in social media marketing.
  • Undergraduate degree in marketing, advertising or communications or an equivalent combination of related education.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to capture and edit engaging content for social media platforms.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with major social media platforms: Instagram, Tiktok, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Google.
  • Flexibility to manage on-demand and real-time nature of social media.
  • Passionate about Social Media marketing.
  • Positive and motivated self-starter who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative in your thinking and like to develop new ideas.
  • Strong team spirit.
  • Comfortable with working evenings/weekends for events, as needed.
  • Have an eye for detail and the ability to juggle multiple projects on tight deadlines.
