Vos responsabilités
This role will primarily be responsible for executing the group consolidation as part of the month-end close process and the preparation of the interim and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). The Finance Manager, Consolidation will be a subject matter expert in using the Company’s ERP system (SAP). Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in consolidation in accordance with IFRS in a public company environment is essential.
- Oversee the month-end close and execute the group consolidation in a multi-currency environment;
- Review elimination entries and reconciliations to support the consolidated financial results;
- Coordinate and manage post-close adjustments;
- Act as a key support resource to divisional accounting teams;
- Prepare and review supporting schedules, analysis, and disclosures to support the quarterly consolidated financial statements and internal reporting;
- Assist in the preparation of Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD&A);
- Review corporate journal entries and monthly and quarterly reconciliations;
- Actively participate in the management of the ERP system in order to identify efficiencies and improvements to the monthly close process;
- Coordinate with the external auditors as part of the quarterly review and year end audit.
Exigences obligatoires pour réussir dans ce rôle
- Bachelors degree in Business or Accounting;
- CPA designation with “Big 4” accounting firm experience;
- Minimum of 5 years working experience with consolidation and financial reporting in a public company environment;
- Experience with training and coaching team members;
- Demonstrated knowledge of IFRS including practical application is essential;
- Experience with financial and consolidation systems is essential. Specifically SAP S/4 HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, and Workiva are an asset;
- Excellent professional judgement, analytical capabilities and organizational skills;
- Experience in Financial Services or Asset Management is a strong asset.
