Salary: $100,000 - 140,000 per year

Exigences

• We need at least 5 years of hands-on experience managing Linux servers in production, ideally Rocky, RHEL, CentOS, or similar distributions.
• We require strong expertise in Apache administration, including configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting.
• We need solid experience with MySQL or MariaDB, including replication, backups, performance optimization, and disaster recovery.
• We require proven capability to automate infrastructure with Ansible.
• We need demonstrated ability to independently diagnose and resolve incidents in an active production environment.
• We require strong shell scripting skills.
• We need experience using Git and GitHub.
• We require familiarity with server monitoring tools.
• We need a clear understanding of security practices and server hardening.
• We consider experience with Terraform an asset.
• We value experience with hardware virtualization.
• We consider firewall administration experience, preferably with Fortigate UTM, to be an advantage.
• We value experience with load testing.
• We consider experience with Galera clusters an asset.
• Basic PHP knowledge is an advantage, though programming is not required.
• Knowledge of SAML is considered beneficial.
• A related degree is preferred, although equivalent skills and experience will also be considered.
• RHCSA, RHCE, or CISSP certifications are nice to have, but not mandatory.

Responsabilités

• We expect you to build a broad understanding of online voting and our business workflows.
• You will develop deep knowledge of our voting system infrastructure.
• You will administer production, development, and staging environments.
• You will monitor infrastructure for outages, performance degradation, and security risks.
• You will investigate and resolve production incidents, including root cause analysis and preventive actions.
• You will continuously improve and document our infrastructure to strengthen reliability, security, and performance.
• You will participate in peer reviews for infrastructure-as-code changes.
• You will work closely with developers to support application dependencies and improve deployments.
• You will contribute to recurring security audits.
• You will carry out occasional targeted technical investigations aligned with business needs.
• You will participate in on-call coverage, with support from the founder when needed.
• You will help shape infrastructure planning and propose gradual, low-risk improvements as you become more familiar with the environment.
