Join a legal services team recognized for its agile approach and proximity to decision-makers, in the downtown area. You will support financing operations and business transactions, in a fast-paced transactional environment where rigor and autonomy make a real difference.

Responsibilities — concrete deliverables in financing and banking law

  • Conduct research in various registers, analyze results, produce written reports and clear summaries.
  • Prepare and file for publication records and releases, according to applicable requirements.
  • Support the preparation of required documentation to support financing operations.
  • Manage post-closing follow-ups, including draws and construction advances.
  • Collaborate closely with the legal team and clients to ensure the effective progress of files.
  • Contribute to initiatives related to the development of the banking and financial practice clientele.

Profile sought — essential requirements and success criteria

  • Hold a college diploma (DEC) in paralegal technology or an equivalent degree.
  • Have at least five (5) years of experience as a paralegal in a banking or financial department.
  • Master both French and English, orally and in writing, to serve clients in Quebec and other Canadian provinces.
  • Demonstrate relevant technical expertise in banking and financing law.
  • Effectively use the Microsoft Office suite in a production and document management context.
  • Work with autonomy and rigor, relying on good judgment and high reliability.
  • Quickly prioritize and deliver with speed, while managing multiple files simultaneously and collaborating with the team.
