Reporting to the Director, Sales Compensation – Canada Retail & Canada Wealth, the Manager, Sales Compensation will join a highly engaged Finance team providing strategic and operational support to Sales & Distribution through the design, administration, and governance of compensation programs. This role requires a strong understanding of distribution strategy to ensureincentiveand rewards programs are aligned to business objectives. You will partner closely with Distribution, Human Resources, Sales Compensation Governance, and Finance, while continuing to build capabilities in business acumen, transformation, process improvement, relationship management, and agile delivery.
Responsabilités du poste
Manage the variable incentive compensation process, ensuring accurate and timely calculation and payment of monthly, quarterly, and annual commissions.
Manage the lifecycle of field staff, including handling offer letters, compensation statements, annual compensation letters, onboarding and offboarding, and reconciliations.
Prepare, validate, and deliver analytical reporting and insights for sales leadership and management.
Build, maintain, and enhance key metrics and reporting within internal compensation systems.
Prepare sales and commission data inputs for benchmarking and industry surveys.
Support the incentive compensation plans on an annual and ongoing basis
Support the monthly expense cycle, including preparation and processing of journal entries for reclassifications, accruals, and forecasts.
Support the preparation of monthly sales commission forecasts, reporting and variance analysis.
Support and provide data for the annual audit cycle. Ensure that effective controls are in place to mitigate risks.
Lead the adoption and effective use of AI‑enabled resources and Power BI reporting solutions to enhance analytical capabilities, streamline processes, and drive operational efficiencies across the team
Collaboration
Demonstrate strong collaborative skills, including indirect leadership and coaching of an MBPS team member, with a focus on teamwork, engagement, and professional development.
Contribute ideas and insights to the team, acting as a problem‑solving resource and actively participating in discussions to jointly prioritize, divide, and deliver work tasks and projects.
Ensure adequate backup and cross‑coverage is in place to maintain continuity of critical business processes.
Qualifications requises
Strong organisational, analytical, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to navigate complex financial concepts and issues.
Proven relationship-building, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and senior leadership.
Customer-focused with a commitment to quality and strong attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to innovate and drive process improvements and motivate others to accept progress and change.
Comfortable operating in ambiguity and managing challenges proactively.
Excellent collaboration, communication, and presentation skills (written and verbal)
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently.
Comprehensive knowledge of sound business practices and controls, and accounting/audit principles applicable to Sales and Distribution.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Qualifications préférées
Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset. If the successful candidate is in Québec, proficiency in both languages will be required to support clients from various provinces outside of Quebec.
CPA highly preferred with 3+ years of relevant experience in progressive accounting roles.
