Description du poste

Tasks

  • Advise and support managers in the day-to-day management of labour relations and sensitive situations (conflicts, complaints, harassment, etc.)
  • Interpret and apply collective agreements, as well as labour laws and regulations
  • Manage disciplinary and administrative files (investigations, disciplinary actions, grievances, etc.)
  • Represent the employer in dealings with unions, participate in labour relations committees, and take part in collective agreement negotiations
  • Develop, implement, and promote prevention and conflict management strategies, as well as compliant and innovative practices
  • Contribute to the development of HR policies and procedures, and train and support managers on best practices
  • Participate in HR activities (unionized and non-unionized recruitment, support to supervisors, special projects, and other related tasks)
  • Perform any other related duties as required

Exigences

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations
  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment (mandatory)
  • Experience in the industrial and/or manufacturing sector (asset)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and research abilities
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
  • Member of the CRHA order (or equivalent)
  • Bilingualism (advanced French and English) required due to frequent interactions with an HR team based in Ontario (approximately 50% of the time)
