Senior Developer - Montreal (3 days a week on site) - CAD$110,000 + 8% bonus SaaS Platform | Ruby on Rails | AI-Enabled Product Development A growing SaaS technology business is looking for a Senior Developer to play a key role in the evolution of a well-established web platform used within a highly regulated environment. This is a hands-on senior engineering role with influence across architecture, product development, technical direction and AI-enabled innovation. You’ll work closely with engineering leadership while mentoring developers and helping shape best practice across the wider team. The environment is heavily product-focused and suited to someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges while contributing to longer-term platform improvement. What you’ll be doing - Developing and enhancing scalable SaaS applications - Leading implementation of complex technical features - Mentoring developers and supporting engineering best practice - Contributing to architecture and technical decision-making - Building and integrating APIs and external services - Exploring AI-enabled functionality including automation, summarisation and intelligent workflows - Collaborating with product and engineering teams in an agile environment Tech stack - Ruby / Ruby on Rails - JavaScript - React / Vue / AngularJS - PostgreSQL - REST APIs - Git / Jira - What we’re looking for - Strong commercial Ruby on Rails experience - Background in SaaS or product-led environments - Experience leading technical work and mentoring engineers - Strong understanding of modern web technologies - Exposure to AI-enabled product functionality or LLM concepts - Strong communication and collaborative skills This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative engineering environment where you can influence technical direction and contribute to meaningful product innovation.
