Tâches

  • Supervise and coordinate daily operations for approximately 20 trucks between Quebec and Ontario.
  • Plan, organize, and optimize routes to ensure efficient deliveries and pickups.
  • Manage activities based on client requests (pickups, deliveries, urgent needs, changes).
  • Coordinate and confirm appointments with clients while respecting established deadlines.
  • Maintain constant communication with drivers and respond quickly to unforeseen events (delays, breakdowns, road conditions, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations (driving hours, transport standards, safety).
  • Maintain smooth communication with the logistics team to maximize efficiency and profitability.
  • Work closely with the department director to monitor performance and implement continuous improvement.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding to requests and offering tailored solutions.
  • Update computer systems and ensure the accuracy of transport-related information.

Exigences du poste

  • Experience in transport dispatching
  • Good understanding of transportation / trucking
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent organizational skills and stress management
  • Strong communication with various partners (clients, terminals, drivers)
  • Bilingual in French and English (often required, travel 30% of the time)
  • Comfortable with tracking systems and dispatch software
  • Knowledge of transportation and logistics (an asset)
