Behind the scenes, but ahead of the curve: help us develop the next-generation public service media organization.

Technology & Infrastructure (T&I) is the backbone and the future-forward arm of CBC/Radio-Canada. Our purpose is to constantly innovate to evolve and maintain the Corporation’s technology and infrastructure. We are the people that make stuff work. We make connections between media content, systems, people and places. We are the space in between.

A place with purpose. CBC/Radio-Canada has always been a highly regarded pioneer of media technology — not just in Canada but around the world. Today, we are transforming ourselves into a modern and agile public service media organization. Technology is the driving force, and we are the team making it happen.

This is a hybrid position with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.

Votre rôle

CBC/Radio-Canada is seeking a highly skilled Endpoint Architect to play a pivotal role in a major technological transformation: bringing our critical media, technical, and broadcast workstations into our enterprise Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) framework. Reporting to the End-User Technology Senior Manager, you will act as the technical design authority for the Media Workstation Management project.

This individual will possess in-depth expertise in Microsoft Intune, SCCM, Autopilot, and related technologies, coupled with an understanding of high-availability, mission-critical IT environments. You will spearhead the transition of unmanaged and legacy-managed media devices into a modern co-management model, ensuring that security and compliance standards are met without ever compromising broadcast continuity or content creation performance.

Ce que nous offrons

We spend our days solving problems on an unbelievable scale. This is a chance to tackle the unique challenge of applying modern enterprise endpoint management to highly sensitive broadcast environments (radio, studio, master control rooms). You will need to balance stringent cybersecurity requirements with the uncompromising performance and stability needs of live production.

You will be hands-on in retiring fragmented, region-specific legacy tools and building a unified, standardized future. We want to hear your ideas, see your designs, and implement your innovations to drastically reduce the manual operational burden on our local maintenance teams.

Comment vous ferez une différence

Architecture & Stratégie

You will lead the design of a comprehensive Intune and SCCM co-management architecture and automated deployment workflows specifically tailored for media environments, while planning the retirement of legacy tools.

Implémentation & Validation

You will oversee the phased onboarding of critical workstations, leading rigorous testing and pilot deployments to ensure that new security and compliance policies have zero negative impact on live broadcast operations.

Gouvernance & Support

You will author clear technical documentation and lead knowledge transfer sessions for regional maintenance teams to ensure a smooth transition from manual processes to centralized management.

Leadership stratégique

You will act as the technical bridge between enterprise IT standards and media operations, collaborating closely with broadcast engineers, local IT teams, and production stakeholders.

Qualifications

Ce que vous apportez

  • University degree, or college diploma, in the field of computer science or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 7+ years' experience in a technical lead or systems architect role with a demonstrated focus on enterprise endpoint technologies.
  • Deep, hands-on technical working experience with Microsoft Intune and SCCM.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Windows operating systems, macOS, Active Directory, Azure/Entra environment, and Group Policy management.
  • Strong technical knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash) for automation and policy deployment.
  • Sensitivity to, or direct experience with, high-availability, mission-critical, or broadcast/media IT environments where system interruption is not an option.
  • Experience with legacy deployment and management tools (such as Ivanti or PDQ Deploy) is a strong asset.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities, specifically in managing technical change with specialized stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, directed, and ability to exercise sound judgment, work independently, and take the initiative.
  • Bilingual (French/English)

Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.

We thank all applicants for their interest, but only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.

As part of our recruitment process, candidates who advance to the next step will be asked to complete a background check. This includes:

  • A mandatory Criminal record check.

  • Other background checks may be conducted based on the operational requirements of the position.
