In this role, you will be part of a professional Learning & Development team that supports more than 700+ employees for our Group Disability organization across Canada.

As a Trainer, Learning & Development
What YOU get to do…

Provide engaging on-site and remote training to new and existing staff for the Disability Payment and Claims Establishment teams
Applying accelerated and blended learning techniques in training
Identify individual learning styles and adjust facilitation accordingly
Conduct needs analyses to help determine appropriate training solutions
Design engaging training material and maintain its currency in accordance with changing business practice and procedures
Measure learner progress using appropriate testing, assessments and evaluations
Provide detailed feedback on new hire/learner progression

Conduct quality reviews of production tasks to ensure accuracy and understanding while providing actionable feedback and coaching based on trends

Establish strong working relationships with your business partners to assess training needs and ensure practice and procedures are kept current
Participate in business unit initiatives or projects as assigned by your manager
Identify and act on opportunities for continuous improvement
Stay current with industry trends on learning and development
What you need to succeed?

As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only as the incumbent will be responsible for creating and delivering training to employees and/or English and French-speaking clients across Canada or worldwide.
Disability Payment and/or Claims Establishment (Admin) experience and subject matter expertise
Advanced skill in the Microsoft product suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, MS Teams)
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to juggle multiple tasks in an ever-changing environment and prioritize effectively
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to influence, negotiate and build effective working relationships
Ability to ask probing questions in order to obtain necessary information
Proven self-starter who is resourceful and curious
Detail oriented, “big picture” thinker who can escalate issues quickly through appropriate channels
Excellent judgement, uses common sense and is able to work independently with minimal direction
Is flexible to change and resilient to stressful situations
What’s nice to have?
Adult Learning Certificate or related
Training and coaching experience
Experience in accelerated learning principles
Facilitation and presentation skills
Willingness to travel
