Canadian Clinical Research Organization (CRO) requires a Director of Toxicology - this is a high-level, very senior scientific leadership role, focusing on overseeing all scientific study endeavours, and study directors. You will be be in charge of toxicologists with 8 to 10 years' experience.
An M.Sc. or Ph.D., 10 years' experience in the industry, and a DABT are essential.
Our client provides essential toxicology and laboratory testing services to worldwide biopharmaceutical organizations developing new small and large molecules. vaccines, medical devices, drugs, biosimilars.
Excellent communication (English essential and French preferred) and leadership skills are required.
Relocation offered across Canada.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managing departmental scientific operations and providing overall toxicology and scientific leadership.
- Ensuring highest quality preclinical safety assessment programs.
- Quality, compliance, method development, troubleshooting.
- GLP Regulatory compliance.
- Overseeing research teams.
- Guiding drug development strategy.
- Toxicology leadership.
Qualifications:
REQUIREMENTS:
- DMPK / PKPD /GLP / TK / ADME.
- PhD or MSc and DABT certification.
- 8 - 10 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably a CRO.
- Animal and non animal studies / non clinical safety.
- Leadership and supervision of studies themselves.
- Overseeing study directors, teams, projects.
- Interfacing with clients.
- Training and mentorship.
- Regarded as tox expert, via lectures and publications.
- Helping S&M at trade shows.
- English required and French of great interest.
