We are seeking a Software Development Internto join our Route Optimization team and support thedevelopmentof our route creation platforms. This is an exciting opportunity towork within an agile squadtooptimizethe distribution ofpackagesacrossIntelcom | Dragonfly’snetwork.
Responsibilities
Participate in the development, testing, and maintenance ofRouteOptimisationsoftware solutionsusing Java and AWS.
Collaborate to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Write clean, efficient, and scalable code, along with comprehensive tests to ensure reliability and performance.
Participate in team’s agile scrum sprints and ceremonies
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Contribute totroubleshooting, debugging, andoptimizingthe system.
Supportthedeployment ofsoftware updates andthemaintenance ofsystem performance.
The role involves daily (or regular) communication with pan-Canadian stakeholders.
Qualifications
Currently pursuingabachelor’sdegreeincomputerscience,softwareengineering, or a related field.
Proficient in Java.
Knowledge ofadditionalprogramming languages, includingC# and Python.
Experience withAWSor Azure is an asset.
Strong understanding of data structures.
Experience designing and implementing database structures.
Logical, analytical, and creative approach to problem-solving
Strong collaboration and communication skills
