Senior Cloud System Administrator

Position Description:

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Systems Administrator who combines strategic vision with deep technical expertise to support the evolution and optimization of our technology infrastructure.
In this role, you will act both as a strategic advisor on cloud architecture and governance (50%) and as a hands-on technical expert responsible for implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of cloud platforms (50%).
The technology environment is primarily based on AWS, with secondary responsibilities in Microsoft Azure, as well as hybrid infrastructures integrating Windows, Linux, and enterprise networking and security solutions.
You will play a key role in defining best practices, modernizing infrastructure, and optimizing operations, while collaborating closely with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure system performance, security, resilience, and scalability.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Advisory & Strategy (50%)
· Advise teams and decision-makers on technology direction and cloud architecture, primarily within AWS environments.
· Contribute to the design and evolution of cloud and hybrid architectures, integrating best practices in security, performance, and governance.
· Evaluate technology solutions and recommend optimized approaches for infrastructure modernization and automation.
· Contribute to the development of cloud administration standards, policies, and operational processes.
· Support teams in adopting best practices for cloud architecture, security, and operational management.
· Participate in cost optimization, performance improvement, and technology risk management initiatives.
Execution – Projects & Operations (50%)
· Administer and maintain AWS (primary) and Azure cloud infrastructures, including configuration, monitoring, and service optimization.
· Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers in hybrid and cloud environments.
· Administer identity and access management services using Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory.
· Configure and manage Microsoft Intune for device and environment management.
· Ensure network infrastructure security and administration using Fortinet and Cisco solutions.
· Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions.
· Automate and improve infrastructure management and deployment processes.
· Provide advanced technical support and act as a technical reference for internal teams.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

- Strong expertise in AWS environments and solid knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
- Experience in the design and administration of cloud and hybrid infrastructures.
- Extensive experience with Windows Server administration and working knowledge of Linux.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, and Intune.
- Good knowledge of networking and security solutions (Fortinet and Cisco).
- Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions.
- Ability to advise on cloud architecture and technology strategy.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in system and infrastructure administration.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $60,–$,. This role is a future opening.
