CAE is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to join our growing cybersecurity team. As CSIRT Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security events and incidents, playing a key role in maintaining the security of CAE's digital assets.
This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start their career in cybersecurity and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced SOC environment. The candidate must possess excellent communication and collaboration skills and will be comfortable working in a shift-based environment, including nights and weekends.
Responsabilités clés
- Monitor and analyze security events: Continuously monitor and review security events from various sources, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint security solutions, and other cybersecurity tools.
- Incident detection and triage: Detect, analyze, and triage security events to determine their potential impact, escalating to Level 2 or Level 3 analysts as needed.
- Document and maintain accurate records of security events and investigations.
- Basic incident response: Assist in basic incident response activities, including initial containment and remediation, under the guidance of senior SOC analysts or the incident response team.
- Reporting and communication: Create incident reports and summaries for management and communicate security events and findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Continuous learning and development: Stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends, threat intelligence, and best practices, actively participating in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
- Contribute to the maintenance of SOC processes and procedures, ensuring they remain up-to-date and aligned with industry best practices.
Qualifications minimales
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Relevant experience or certifications (e.g., Security+, Network+) may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Familiarity with various security technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, DLP, and firewall solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English), with the ability to communicate security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications préférées
- 1-2 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field is preferred, but not required.
- Basic knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and common attack techniques.
- French language desirable
