Salary :

As our Business Intelligence Developer you will be tasked to design, develop and maintain BI and analytics solutions in a data-rich business environment mainly operated on the Microsoft Fabric (Power BI) environment.

In close collaboration with our change management and business intelligence analysts, your focus will be to deliver quality data, reporting, dashboards, and business insights across our national organization by liaising with the various teams and functions, helping them translating their data needs into actionable business insight.

You will be responsible for designing databases and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance.

Key Accountabilities

• Work with national and regional business analysts and BI power-users to define reporting requirements and business intelligence solutions
• Collaborate and communicate transparently with other team members and produce project progress reports and sprint board updates on a regular basis
• Support Data Warehouse and ETL enhancements and operations
• Design, develop and deploy SQL data models to support self-service BI
• Provide second tier support to existing BI Solutions
• Design and build BI user interfaces in collaboration with business intelligence analysts
• Research, analyze, recommend, and implement new methods, standard processes, best practices, and techniques for developing BI Solutions
• Asist change management and BI analysts with end-user training as needed
• Develop and maintain report blueprints documentation, data dictionary and related meta-data stores

You bring a depth and breadth of technical experience in data architecture, data quality, data integration, data migration, data warehousing / data lake projects, and data analytics.

You can work with different business disciplines (Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance) and have project management skills (planning, organizing, and controlling), with the ability to work on multiple projects or requests in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Requirements

• University degree in computer science, information sciences, data science, or a related field
• A minimum of 3 years of experience with Data Modeling and relationship building (Tabular data models, Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) and Data transformations (measures, calculated, columns, joins)
• Proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken
• Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft BI Stack (SQL, SSIS, PowerBI)
• Advanced SQL (analytical functions), ETL, Data Warehousing
• Knowledge of software development practices, concepts, and technology obtained through formal training and / or work experience
• Knowledge of Azure Synapse, Data Factory an asset
• Knowledge of Microsoft PowerPlatform (Dataverse, PowerApps, PowerAutomate) an asset
• Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft DevOps and source-controlled GIT development an asset
