Job Summary

Under the supervision of the IT Technical Team Leader, the IT Field Technician is responsible for providing technical support on-site for a range of computer issues, specifically focusing on equipment for both outdoor and indoor use.

This position involves proactive identification, research, and resolution of technical problems, requiring a quick response to telephone calls, emails, and user support requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of both outdoor and indoor IT infrastructures at terminals such as networking, kiosks, and cameras;
  • Effective management of service calls, ensuring rigorous follow-up until complete resolution;
  • Ensuring the optimal daily operation of applications and computer hardware;
  • Diagnosing and solving hardware and software problems across all equipment managed by the IT department;
  • Completing any other related tasks assigned by supervision.

Requirements

  • Diploma in computer support or related field;
  • At least 5 years of experience in a relevant technical role, with a strong emphasis on hands-on and industrial experience;
  • Valid and current driver's license;
  • Ability to work effectively at heights without vertigo.

Required Skills

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with a strong focus on preventive management;
  • Proven expertise in manual handling and repair of equipment;
  • Willingness to work primarily outdoors in various environmental conditions;
  • Flexibility to adapt work schedules based on operational needs, including day and evening shifts;
  • Resilience and efficiency under pressure to maintain operations continuity;
  • Independence and ability to innovate in problem-solving;
  • Bilingualism (French and English) suited to the position, both orally and in writing;
  • Customer service experience, considered a major asset.
