PURPOSE

Under the supervision of the Demand Planning Director, the Demand Planner is responsible for updating the flowcharts on a bi-weekly basis, advising of any latest trends in seasonal product categories, and forecasting seasonal production.

In reviewing these updates, the Demand Planner analyzes the forecasts by style / collection, validates with the Manager and advises if additional production is warranted based on the latest sales trend.

A close working relation with the purchasing department is required to make sure that fabrics are available.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Analyze seasonal forecasts (TPs Total projections) at the style level and raise any planning or manufacturing concerns to Manager.
  • Analyze sales order variations, flowcharts and adjust manufacturing schedule accordingly.
  • Work in conjunction with the production planning team for on time production.
  • Plan the stock transfer for Canada and Bulgaria.
  • Report on department KPIs in S&OP meetings.
  • Accountable to prepare the production schedules of both manufacturing hubs to ensure the timely deliveries of finish products to meet customer demand.
  • Coordinate effective communication with customer service on any delays affecting on-time delivery.
  • Identify problematic seasonal categories and work in conjunction with sales and marketing to increase regular sales through promotional activities before liquidations go into effect.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s in business administration or related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Planning
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel Skills, a MUST!
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
