About the role

The Telephony Services and Contact Centre team is looking for a Scrum Master for services and products supporting voice communication management.

This is an important position given the criticality of the team's mandate for the business continuity and performance of the organization.

The Scrum Master will work closely with the Product Owner, the Manager, and the team to ensure increased customer value and continuous team improvement.

As a Scrum Master in the team, you will play a key role in facilitating and shaping our Agile management approach, and ensuring that our teams remain engaged, efficient and effective.

All this in a dynamic, modern, challenging environment where you can further contribute to the success of the team and the company.

What you’ll do here :

  • Guide the team and the organization on how to use Agile best practices and shape the process to serve the team.
  • Support and educate team members to the next level of performance and maturity.
  • Support and accompany the Product Owner in managing the backlog.
  • Accompany the team in delivering a quality increment in each sprint.
  • Monitor activities to improve performance and efficiency of deliverables.
  • Remove obstacles or guide the team to remove obstacles by putting them in touch with the right people in the right places.
  • Build a trusting and open environment that promotes sharing and problem solving within the team.
  • Facilitate communications, improve transparency and dissemination of information.
  • Organize and facilitate daily meetings and decision making to ensure timely inspection and proper use of team processes.
  • Help the team clarify objectives and actions to achieve them.
  • Help the team find and identify solutions.
  • Anticipate, identify, and eliminate obstacles by connecting the right people.
  • Lead by example.
  • Participate in Scrum Masters' communities of practice.

What you need :

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or other related field.
  • Scrum Master and / or Project Management certification.
  • Knowledge of an Agile framework or methodology (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
  • 5-8 years of experience as a scrum master or another role (an asset).
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile tools (Jira, Kanban dashboards, Confluence, Miro, etc.).
  • Strong leadership skills, proactive, change agent.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Conflict resolution, continuous improvement, empowerment, and transparency skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and coaching skills.
  • Comfortable working in a constantly evolving technological environment.
  • Understanding of telephony environments and contact centre solutions (an asset).
  • In-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices (an asset).
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
