Position Summary

Responsible for the full cycle of processing products for irradiation which includes reception of product, operation of the irradiator, troubleshooting of equipment, receiving and shipping of processed product to customer, including maintenance and repair of the irradiator.

This position is deemed a Nuclear Energy Worker (NEW). A Nuclear Energy Worker (NEW) is defined by the Nuclear Safety and Control Act as a person who is required, in the course of the person's business, or occupation in connection with a nuclear substance or nuclear facility to perform duties in such circumstances that there is a reasonable probability that the person may receive a dose of radiation that is greater than the prescribed limit for the general public (1 mSv per year for the whole body).

Key Responsibilities

• Repair, replace parts and troubleshoot the irradiator
• Plan, coordiante and implement preventatative maintenance
• Responsible for technical support associated with routine manufacturing of customer's product
• Executing and delivering of internal and external production
• Provide back up to Operational staff in the production
• Maintain excellent records of all calculations, respect of procedures, experiments, tests and estimates

Qualifications

• College diploma in electricity or electro-mechanic or related experience
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a manufacture setting maintaining, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance for mechanical / electrical equipment
• Minimum one year experience in warehouse environment

Additional Requirements

• Lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis
• Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolfing
• Operate a forklift and pallet truck
• GMP / GDP experience is an asset

This position requires the successful completion of a vision screening and hearing test as a pre-employment condition

Training Required : Must complete all required training and certification as a Nuclear Energy Worker

Skills and Competencies

• Knowledge in electricity and pneumatics
• Experience in production planning is an asset
• Forklift and pallet truck experience preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French
• Ability to work independently

• En outre, vous devrez fournir au personnel opérationnel dans la production les documents nécessaires
• Le respect des procédures, des expériences, des essais et les estimations doivent être maintenues

Qualifications :

Éducation : Un minimum d'un diplôme collégiale en électricité ou en électromécanique ou expérience équivalent.

Expérience : Un minimum de 3 ans d'expérience dans un environnement de dépannage et maintenance préventive pour les équipements mécaniques / électriques Minimum 1 and d'expérience dans un entrepôt.

Exigences supplémentaires :

• Soulever, pousser et tirer jusqu'à 50 lb sur une base fréquente
• Doit être capable de monter sur des échelles et échafaudage
• Opérer un chariot élévateur et transpalette
• Expérience en bonne pratique de fabriquation (BPF) et bonne pratique de documentation (BPD) est un atout

Ce poste exige la réussite d'un examen de la vision et d'audition comme condition de pré-emploi.

Formation requise : Doit compléter toutes les formations requises et la certification en tant que travailleur d'énergie nucléaire
