As Digital Content Translator you will translate from French into English the content of the Digital Information Solutions Administrative Department’s digital entities, including desjardins.
com, and adapt it. The content stems from the business strategies, takes into account the omnichannel approach, and is based on cybermetric analyses, SEO and user searches, with the best UX writing, SEO and accessibility practices applied.
General Information on the Position
Main responsibilities
Translate and adapt digital content in collaboration with the members of a multidisciplinary team, particularly with UX writers and specialists
Apply UX, SEO and accessibility best practices when translating and adapting digital content
Identify potential challenges, needs and problems as well as opportunities for improving a user’s experience with strategic digital content
Conduct terminology and linguistic research in English to ensure consistency within the organization
Help determine methods and develop working tools with fellow team members
Ensure overall consistency of content to promote the Desjardins image, brand and educational mission
Use terminology that is consistent with the best practices used in the business and digital fields, more specifically in the financial services industry, while taking into account Desjardins’s specific characteristics
Align translations, create bi-texts, update translation memories as needed
Other working conditions
Work location : Montreal or Levis, depending on the candidate's preference. The work arrangement for the position is hybrid work #LI-Hybrid

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
A minimum of four years of relevant experience
Experience working in an agile-based work environment (an asset)
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
ATIO or OTTIAQ certification (an asset)
For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required
Specific knowledge
Proficiency in specialized digital, business and cooperative terminology
Knowledge of the principles of UX writing, SEO and accessibility
Knowledge of professional linguistic environment practices, standards and conditions
Knowledge of MemoQ (an asset)
Strong communication skills in both French and English, both oral and written due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with (language)-speaking partners, members and / or clients
