About the team

As a senior member of Kinaxis’ Corporate Information Technology team, you will be part of a very dynamic group of IT professionals helping Kinaxis business units deliver their initiatives through business process flow, tools, and data.

Our IT organization is accountable for the business systems and infrastructure used across the company, how they are integrated, ensuring analytics and efficient data utilization.

The IT Business Partner is responsible for bringing the art of the possible to the business, and then working with the different teams within the IT department, e.

g., Application Excellence, Data, Solution Architects, and Infrastructure teams to deliver.

The IT Business Partner has global ownership for several business units within Kinaxis and will be their main point of contact to bring ideas, update them on new technology that is rolled out, understand their business model and challenges, and ultimately work with them to deliver solutions they can use to drive their business.

What you will do

Responsible to be the connector, between IT and those business units you work with build relationships, learn about their objectives and challenges, and deliver technology solutions;

provide advice based on current available solutions as well as knowledge that you have of what will just work.

  • Ensure the Solution Requests process is followed.
  • Partner with project and program managers across your business units, as well as within Corp IT, to monitor initiatives and keep the IT roadmap up to date.
  • Assist your business units in the creation of business cases to support technology investments.
  • Develop solution concepts and work with the IT teams to design the solution, ensuring it meets the business unit’s needs and aligns with Corporate IT target architecture and strategy.

In few words, ensure the solution solves business problems!

  • Proactively share knowledge of technology opportunities and risks to drive efficiencies across Kinaxis.
  • Communicate BU’s objectives, priorities, and relevant project information to key stakeholders, translating business requirements into technical solutions
  • Work with technology vendors to understand their roadmaps to leverage it and benefit the company from their releases and new functionality.
  • Provide timely status updates to Executive and Senior Management.
  • Communicate complex, technical concepts to executive staff, business sponsors and technical resources in clear concise language.
  • Adhere to security and confidentiality requirements as per company’s policies.

What we are looking for

  • BS or BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. MBA desirable.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a business partnering or management function partnering with senior leaders to meet strategic business objectives.
  • Superb communication and influencing skills and demonstrated experience delivering strategic updates to senior leadership.
  • Proven experience working with major business applications such as CRMs, ERPs, HCM’s, ECM’s, preferably within a high-tech, global organization
  • Extensive experience in data analytics and KPIs, managing Technology Investments, and overseeing process design
  • Minimum 7 years of operational experience in 2 or more of the following departments Sales, Finance, HR, Software Development, Professional Services, Customer Service or Marketing.
  • Demonstrated experience working with all levels of an organization to deliver results.
  • Strong knowledge on APIs, web services and integration layers. Practical experience desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Change Management frameworks.
  • Must have proven ability to realign priorities rapidly to meet evolving business requirements.
  • Comfortable with building processes and solutions from the ground up and thrive with ambiguity and change.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate and build relationships with all levels in the organization.
  • Experience deploying and running global IT software.
  • General knowledge of at least one of the top public cloud vendors (AWS, GCP, MSA) is nice to have.
  • Any other process-related certifications, e.g., ITIL, TOGAF, Six Sigma are nice to have.
