FOLKS is looking for a well rounded and experienced Environment Senior Artist to take part of the department growth and create high standard environments.

Immediate Supervisor : Environnement Supervisor

As a FOLKS artist

• Pursues the highest quality and pushes to create the most engaging images
• Works successfully as part of a team, seeks collaboration opportunities
• Organizes, prioritizes, and communicates to meet production needs
• Takes part in creative discussions and actively participates in dailies
• Addresses notes and keeps the end goal in mind while iterating on the work
• Stays flexible and adaptable with the ability to work within a set workflow as well as having the creativity and problem-solving skills to work around issues

As a Environnement Artist Senior

• Create photo-realistic environments for feature films;
• Create and develop 3D assets and environments;
• Work with the department Supervisor, the Compositing Department, Asset Supervisor and CG Supervisor to evaluate the creative and technical approach to assigned shots;
• Balance the creative and technical aspects of assigned shots;
• Meet schedules and show deadlines;
• Take responsibility for workload, time management and notes / feedback actions required by Supervisors;
• Learn and adapt to new methods and techniques.

Requirements

• 5 years' experience as a Environnement Artist;
• Strong knowledge of Houdini;
• Working knowledge of Arnold;
• Working knowledge of Substance;
• Generalist background with a good balance between creative and technical skills;
• Extensive experience working on projects within a film post-production environment;
• Ability to work well within a team environment and take direction from Producers and Supervisors.

Desirable

• Working knowledge of Solaris
• Working knowledge of Maya
• Working knowledge of Nuke
