We are Systematix and we are looking for a Senior Technology Architect to fill a 6-month+ REMOTE contract position with one of our key transportation clients situated in Montreal.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

This role is responsible for understanding, analyzing and then addressing non-functional Business requirements with effective technical solution architectures.

This includes the creation of technology architecture diagrams and the identification of all relevant environments and technology services (eg.

Security services, DBMS and storage services, integration services, performance and availability services, connectivity services, etc.

Key Deliverable : develop a roadmap and appropriate documentation to move to and manage recovery of services in the Cloud (Azure & Google).

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyze the business context at the technology domain level encompassing all current and future information technology requirements for the relevant lines of business.

This includes understanding the relevant enterprise architecture deliverables and the business domain deliverables.

Elaborate the enterprise architecture vision into a more detailed-level technology domain architecture vision.

Translate the technology domain architecture vision into a technology domain architecture framework and artifacts. These artifacts include target architecture models and technology standards intended to guide other architects in their specific initiatives to ensure overall alignment to the vision

Propose initiatives and develop roadmaps to convert existing IT environments to the target architecture. In addition, define intermediate roadmaps and / or migration strategies as required.

Evaluate and recommend technologies to introduce into client'stechnical environment.

Provide guidance for, and ensure adherence to, the technology domain architecture framework and roadmaps by IT staff delivering projects.

Ensures the vitality, relevance and evolution of the technology domain architecture framework and artifacts relative to best architecture practices and IT industry developments.

This includes staying current with market trends and identifying new technology opportunities.

Communicate the technology domain vision, framework, artifacts and roadmaps to the IT staff

ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS

Mandatory :

8 years experience in IT, with a minimum of 5 years dedicated to Architecture work in a wide range of infrastructure technologies and enterprise-grade deployments.

Assets :

• ITIL 2011 Foundation·
• Experience with DRAAS·
• Experience with building DR frameworks for applications supported by 3rd party vendors·
• Experience with auditing DR / BCP plans
• Experience with SNow (creating dashboards and building reports)
