Job Level

NV-09As a .NET programmer analyst specialized in software development, operations and maintenance, you support IT efficiency.

You analyze, design, configure, develop, maintain and upgrade software based on the organization's needs. You are responsible for the quality of coded solutions.

You draw on your ability to work with technology and anticipate innovation to help develop, standardize and roll out medium- to large-scale IT systems, programs and applications.

You analyze client and partner needs and influence decisions on appropriate IT solutions. You plan, prioritize and coordinate work to meet objectives.

Your projects and initiatives require comprehensive knowledge of your line of work.

You help solve complex problems using your analytical skills and comprehensive knowledge of your line of business. Coordination is critical.

You interact with stakeholders working in other fields.

You serve as a systems resource person for your unit, clients and practitioners.

Our team is looking for a person who has an interest in user support and analysis of batch processing problems, as well as a sense of autonomy and good communication skills.

General Information on the Position

Main responsibilities

Actively help develop execution strategies and analyze and develop software products (design, code, automate and run tests), while applying development, data and security best practices

Document technical solutions as well as practices to ensure product sustainability. Develop documentation and prepare and deliver training for peers and users

Provide technical support for IT operations. Analyze, diagnose, follow up on and resolve critical and complex system issues

Cocreate with business partners and architects to get a complete understanding of business intentions and objectives and standardize solutions accordingly

Lead software package installations and testing as well as application deployment

Make simple adaptations based on the needs of projects

Manage and complete analyses of issues raised by users and make the necessary corrections in the affected programs

Manage and follow up on assigned files independently

Support batch work, during testing and in production.

Other working conditions

Schedule : Possibility of being on call at night or on weekends, outside of working hours

Workplace : Position located in Lévis or Montreal, depending on the applicant selected. The work arrangement for the position is hybrid work

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field

A minimum of 4 years of relevant system development experience

Experience working in a Windows environment with Visual Studio

Net programming experience

Relevant Cobol experience (an asset)

Property and casualty insurance experience (an asset)

SQL and relational database experience (an asset)

Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required

Knowledge of JCL

Knowledge of VB.NET (an asset)

Knowledge of NeoBatch (an asset)

Intermediate knowledge of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with (language)-speaking partners, members and / or clients
