Job Level

NV-11As Quantitative Developer, you contribute to portfolio management efficiency. You work within the Quantitative Strategies Department, responsible for designing, developing and implementing mathematical models and algorithms enabling the enrichment of our members and clients in a framework where responsible investment is very important.

You analyze, design, configure, develop, maintain and improve the financial IT solutions of the Quantitative Strategies Department to meet the organization's needs, in collaboration with the portfolio managers and analysts, and the technology group.

You are responsible for the quality and security of coded solutions for production.

You draw on your ability to master technology and anticipate innovations to help develop, standardize and deploy IT systems, programs and applications that implement the execution of complex investment strategies based on mathematical models and that significantly impact the organization.

You analyze client and partner needs and recommend the appropriate technology solutions or the financial technology solutions needed by the Quantitative Strategies Department.

To this end, you plan, prioritize and coordinate work to deliver on the commitments made in line with the objectives. The nature of the files requires in-depth, innovative and extensive knowledge in your field.

You help solve problems that have a very high level of operational and conceptual complexity, and that require analysis and a comprehensive, in-depth understanding of the organization and line of business.

Coordination is critical. You interact with a large number of stakeholders from a variety of fields. Highly developed interpersonal skills are therefore essential.

You serve as an expert advisor and subject matter expert, as well as a resource person for your team's management and DGAM.

Net Core), Entity Framework,

Dapper, Jira, Python, R, Denodo, Azure.

Teamwork and communication : You enjoy teamwork and you communicate very effectively.

Interest in portfolio management : Your interest in investments and quantitative methods is a key asset.As is your desire to continuously learn about these fields.

You play an essential role at Desjardins Global Asset Management. Our technology solutions span the areas of portfolio optimization, grid computing, complex process automation and data visualization.

You take part in the full life cycle of the applications.

Your role

Main Responsabilities

Work with portfolio managers, traders, responsible investment professionals and quantitative analysts

Participate in the design, planning and implementation of IT solutions using various technologies, in particular C# and SQL Server, and applying the principles of object-oriented programming

Keep financial IT crucial to the firm's day-to-day operations working properly

Develop highly complex execution strategies, and analyze, design and document business products and solutions

Co-create with IT partners and architects to get a complete understanding of business intentions and objectives and standardize solutions accordingly

Work closely with support staff to ensure that the system is working properly and take pride in being be the first point of contact for technical troubleshooting

Identify potential areas for performance improvement and optimization, including suggestions for maintenance and ongoing improvement of overall code quality

Keep abreast of industry trends and developments to maintain ongoing corporate awareness and competitive advantage

Work as a team and serve as an expert for the other developers on the team. Mentor more junior team members of the team as needed.

Workplace : Position located in Lévis or Montreal, depending on the applicant selected. The work arrangement for the position is hybrid work

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in information technology, software engineering, mathematics-computer science orin a related field

A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in developing trading and / or portfolio management applications

Experience in IT development

Experience in a finance-related discipline with a strong interest in developing technology solutions

Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
