The TELUS Business Solutions (TBS) organization is dynamic, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial. Together, the team is responsible for driving profitable growth within a key growth segment for TELUS.

Our team has direct responsibility for all 4 Ps’ of the marketing mix to drive our business objectives.

You will join a skilled team that continues to shape the evolution of the portfolio, and find new ways to reach business clients to ultimately grow our wireless and wireline share.

We are looking for a highly-organized and results-oriented individual to join the team for the role of Marketing Manager, Community Programs & Events, who will amplify TBS’ brand and support demand generation through our community partnerships and events.

Your mandate is to help win TBS share, by leveraging and growing our community partner network to build positive brand sentiment and / or create marketing leads and opportunities for our sales channels.

We are looking for a natural born leader with a willingness to challenge the status quo, able to work collaboratively and confidently with multiple stakeholders inside and outside of the organization.

What you’ll do

  • Manage our existing community partners as well as acquire new relationships in priority regions and networks (business development & relationship management)
  • These partners may include, but not limited to : Chambers, Board of Trades, Business Improvement Areas, segment or industry-based associations (Multicultural Orgs, Women Biz orgs, business advocacy groups, and co-working spaces)
  • Build out the messaging, channel, product, and marketing strategy for each partnership type to help drive demand and qualified leads
  • Own the end-to-end execution of all partner-related and ad-hoc business events; including budgets, creative materials, go-to-market strategy & communications, channel readiness and measuring impact
  • Negotiate and manage partner contracts and measure the ROI
  • Collaborate with Brand and Customer Marketing teams to build out content, creative assets needed to support your tactics (when needed)
  • Execute on marketing activities through partner networks (Social, email marketing, events, etc.) & measure campaign outcomes
  • Collaborate with other business units to build out thoughtful campaign strategies to execute towards goals

What you bring

  • You have event, partnership or project management experience, with the organization skills to manage multiple moving pieces
  • You are known for your ability to prioritize projects, to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously, and to meet objectives in an exciting and agile environment
  • You are valued for your solid communication skills, with both external partners and internal cross-functional team members
  • You have strong people skills, ability to develop relationships with key internal and external contacts, and ability to work within a team
  • You have superb negotiation skills and the ability to manage budgets
  • You have strong data storytelling skills, and can showcase the impact of your work
  • You thrive in change and ambiguity, handling shifting demands with ease
  • You have the ability to influence decisions and gain alignment across broad stakeholder groups with diverse needs
  • You have strong executive presence and comfortable presenting in a leadership forum

Great-to-haves

  • Undergraduate degree in Business or a related discipline; or 3+ years of work experience in marketing
  • French language is an asset, but not required
